How to scrap your vehicle
If your vehicle has reached the end of its usefulness, you must get it scrapped at an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF). Mainline Salvage is an authorised ATF.
1. Contact us for a cash price. If you are removing any parts from the vehicle, please declare this when requesting a quote.
2. Apply to take the registration number off the vehicle if you want to keep it (Apply online at gov.uk )
3. Call us to arrange the free scrap vehicle collection
4. At collection, give Mainline Salvage your log book (V5C) but keep the yellow section
5. Notify DVLA that your vehicle has been scrapped (notify online at gov.uk). You can be fined £1,000 you don’t notify the DVLA!
